Regular biography
Prof. MIYAKAWA Osamu is a Faculty member in the PHY department at The University of Tokyo. His research focuses on Gravitational Wave Physics. He is involved in the development of fundamental technologies for the KAGRA gravitational wave detector, including high-power lasers, input/output optics, interferometer control systems, data acquisition systems, and interferometer simulation. His work contributes to detector commissioning and observation, with the goal of establishing Japan as a central gravitational wave observatory in the Asian region.
