Melia Thomas is a Faculty member at The University of Tokyo, Department of PHY. Their research focuses on particle phenomenology, including the development of novel analyses at the LHC or future colliders to search for beyond the standard model physics and efforts to directly detect dark matter. They are also interested in uncovering new mathematical structures in quantum field theory, such as conformal representation theory, commutative algebra, and cohomology. Their work explores hidden symmetries in standard model scattering amplitudes and aims to advance these ideas further.
