Yuta Murotani is a researcher at the Laser and Synchrotron Research Center (LASOR) at the University of Tokyo, specializing in the study of ultrafast dynamics and terahertz (THz) spectroscopy. His work focuses on understanding the fundamental physics of materials under extreme conditions, particularly in the context of topological materials and Dirac semimetals. Murotani has made significant contributions to the development of advanced THz detection techniques and the exploration of light-matter interactions at ultrafast timescales. He has published numerous high-impact papers in prestigious journals such as *Physical Review Letters*, *Nano Letters*, and *Applied Physics Letters*. Murotani has also been invited to speak at several international conferences, including the International Conference on Infrared, Millimeter and Terahertz Waves (IRMMW-THz) and the Ultrafast Dynamics & Ultrafast Bandgap Photonics symposium. In 2023, he was promoted to a research associate position at LASOR.
