Particle phenomenology

About
Regular biography

MATSUMOTO Shigeki is a Faculty member at The University of Tokyo, Department of PHY. His research focuses on particle phenomenology, particularly dark matter in particle physics. He investigates dark matter candidates, explores new mechanisms for dark matter processes, and proposes experimental methods to test these candidates. His work involves interdisciplinary collaborations with high-energy experimentalists, cosmologists, astronomers, and chemists. MATSUMOTO has contributed to dark matter search projects by analyzing the range of dark matter mass and interactions. He is also a Principal investigator and Deputy Director at Kavli IPMU.
