Regular biography
Kai Uwe Martens is a Faculty member at The University of Tokyo, Department of PHY. His research focuses on Particle Physics, specifically Dark Matter direct detection with the XENON experiment and Astrophysical neutrinos with Super-Kamiokande at the Kamioka Observatory, Gifu-ken. He has been involved in various projects including the K2K experiment at KEK and the XMASS experiment. Martens has contributed to significant collaborations, such as the Telescope Array experiment and efforts to integrate technologies for dark matter detection. His work includes Machine Learning applications to analyze XMASS data and advancing water Cherenkov technology for the XENONnT experiment.
