Regular biography
Zhengming Sheng is a faculty member in the School of Physics and Astronomy at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research focuses on high energy density physics, laser plasma physics, and related areas such as relativistic laser-plasma interactions and wave-particle interactions. He has contributed to advancements in particle acceleration, radiation production, and inertial confinement fusion. Sheng has published over 400 peer-reviewed papers with more than 13,000 citations and an H-index of 58. He is a fellow of the American Physical Society and the Institute of Physics, UK. His work has been recognized with several awards, including the National Natural Science Award of China and the Achievement in Asia Award.
