Yao Zhou

Yao Zhou is a Faculty member at the School of Physics and Astronomy, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He is affiliated with the Institute of Laser Plasma Physics and holds the title of Associate Professor. His research interests include three-dimensional magnetohydrodynamics, stellarators and tokamak physics, geometric mechanics and structure-preserving algorithms, drift wave turbulence and coherent structures, and wave physics with phase space descriptions. Zhou completed his undergraduate studies at Tsinghua University and his PhD at Princeton University. He has held postdoctoral and research positions at Princeton University's National Fusion Laboratory and is currently based at Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

Yao Zhou is a researcher in plasma physics, focusing on the dynamics of plasma systems through advanced numerical and theoretical methods.
