Yao Zhou is a Faculty member at the School of Physics and Astronomy, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He is affiliated with the Institute of Laser Plasma Physics and holds the title of Associate Professor. His research interests include three-dimensional magnetohydrodynamics, stellarators and tokamak physics, geometric mechanics and structure-preserving algorithms, drift wave turbulence and coherent structures, and wave physics with phase space descriptions. Zhou completed his undergraduate studies at Tsinghua University and his PhD at Princeton University.
