Yanping Chen

Yanping Chen is a faculty member in the School of Physics and Astronomy at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Her research focuses on the development of high-intensity broadband terahertz sources, the control and ultrafast diagnostics of terahertz pulses, and the coherent manipulation of terahertz pulses in magnetic materials. She has published over 40 papers in international journals such as Nature Photonics and Physical Review Letters. Her team has developed a polarization-controlled strong terahertz source recognized as one of the '2018 China Optics Top Ten Advances.' Chen has also mentored numerous graduate students, some of whom have received awards such as the AAPPS U30 Young Scientist/Student Award.
