Regular biography
Xiaolin Lei is a professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, affiliated with the School of Physics and Astronomy. His research interests include condensed matter physics, with a focus on electronic transport, superconductivity, and semiconductor physics. He has contributed to the development of theoretical models such as the Lei-Ting theory for hot-electron transport and the balance-equation approach for electronic transport in semiconductors. He has authored and co-authored numerous academic papers and a monograph on balance equation approaches. His work has been recognized with several awards, including the First-Class CAS Prize of Natural Sciences and the Ho-Leung-Ho-Lee Prize for Science and Technology Progress in Physics.
