Regular biography
Xiaohui Yuan is a faculty member in the School of Physics and Astronomy at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research focuses on relativistic laser-plasma interactions and laser fusion-related physics, particularly in the context of inertial confinement fusion (ICF) and the fast electron generation and transport in the 'fast ignition' scheme. He has conducted extensive experimental studies on ultra-hot electron transport in dense plasmas and participated in international collaborations at facilities such as the Vulcan laser at the Rutherford Laboratory and the PHELIX laser at GSI. His work includes contributions to the development of high-intensity laser facilities and laser-driven ion acceleration.
