Wenchao Yan

Wenchao Yan is an associate professor in the School of Physics and Astronomy at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research focuses on ultrafast and ultrastrong laser-driven plasma electron acceleration and radiation. He has published over 40 SCI papers, including works in Nature Photonics, PNAS, and Phys. Rev. Lett., and has presented at numerous international conferences. His work has been recognized with awards such as the ELI Construction Special Prize and the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences Award. Yan's research has been applied in national major scientific facilities like the Huairou Comprehensive Extreme Conditions User Facility. He joined Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2018 after working at the ELI-BeamLines and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
