Regular biography
Shiyong Wang is an associate professor in the School of Physics and Astronomy at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He received his Ph.D. in Physics from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2013. Wang worked as a postdoc at the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology from 2013 to 2017. He joined Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2017 as a tenure-track associate professor. His research focuses on low-dimensional nanomaterials, utilizing low temperature STM/STS, nc-AFM, and STM manipulations. He has authored 20 peer-reviewed journal papers and received the Marie-Curie postdoc fellowship in 2015 and the distinguished young researcher award in 2016.
