Regular biography

Shengguang Liu is a faculty member in the School of Physics and Astronomy at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research focuses on advanced accelerator technology and industrial applications of high-average-current electron accelerators. He has contributed to the development of two photocathode microwave electron accelerators for ultrafast electron diffraction and imaging, as well as a high-voltage pulsed electron source for plasma diagnostics. His work includes the pre-research for energy recovery accelerators with high-average-current photocathode electron sources. Liu has published extensively in areas such as terahertz streaking of relativistic electron beams and Coulomb-driven relativistic electron beam compression. He is affiliated with the Institute of Laser Plasma Physics and has collaborated with international research teams.
