Regular biography
Pengfei Zhu is an Associate Researcher in the Department of Physics at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research focuses on ultrafast science, particularly the development of ultrafast techniques to study laser-induced plasmas and ultrafast structural dynamics. Zhu has contributed to significant advancements in ultrafast electron diffraction and terahertz streaking of relativistic electron beams. His work includes publications in prestigious journals such as Physical Review Letters and Physical Review X. Zhu's academic journey includes a B.Sc. in physics from Peking University and a Ph.D. in Optical Physics from the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Science. He has also held postdoctoral and visiting scholar positions at institutions such as Brookhaven National Laboratory and Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
