Peng Chen

Peng Chen is a faculty member in the School of Physics and Astronomy at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee in 2013 and worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory from 2014 to 2019. He joined Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2019. His research interests include experimental condensed matter physics, focusing on ultra-thin film growth and the exploration of novel physics using spin- and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy. His work investigates the electronic properties of two-dimensional materials and their interactions with lattice, spin, and orbital effects.
