Regular biography
Ning Zhou is a faculty member in the School of Physics and Astronomy at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research focuses on experimental particle physics, particularly in the search for dark matter beyond the Standard Model. He is involved in the PandaX experiment, a dark matter direct detection experiment at the China Jinping Underground Physics Laboratory, and the ATLAS experiment at CERN's Large Hadron Collider. Zhou has contributed to the design and construction of the 4-tonne scale TPC detector for PandaX-4T, which has been operational since 2020. He is also the Deputy Spokesperson of the PandaX Collaboration and has led efforts in detector R&D for future multi-ten-tonne scale experiments. His work includes analyzing data to search for various dark matter candidates across a wide mass range.
