Liewen Chen

Regular biography

Liewen Chen is a Faculty member in the School of Physics and Astronomy at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research focuses on theoretical nuclear physics, heavy-ion collisions, quark-gluon plasma, and compact stars. He has authored over 100 SCI publications, including contributions to Physical Review Letters and Physics Reports. Chen has held positions at Texas A&M University and is currently the Associate-Director of the Institute of Nuclear and Particle Physics, Astronomy, and Cosmology (INPAC) at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He is also a Guest Professor at the Center of Theoretical Nuclear Physics, National Laboratory of Heavy Ion Accelerator, Lanzhou, China. His work includes studies on isospin effects, nuclear symmetry energy, and neutron star structure.
