Regular biography
Jun Guo is an associate professor in the School of Physics and Astronomy at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research focuses on experimental high energy physics, including collider physics, detector R&D, and the study of the Standard Model and new physics. He has contributed to significant experiments such as the D0 experiment at Fermilab and the ATLAS collaboration at the LHC, including precision measurements of the W boson mass and searches for new physics phenomena. He leads several ATLAS analyses and has been involved in detector development, particularly in Resistive Plate Chambers (RPC) R&D. His work includes studies on the Higgs boson and the search for heavy resonances. He is also engaged in the Circular Electron Positron Collider (CEPC) project, focusing on detector R&D and simulation studies.
