Regular biography
Jin Yu is a Faculty member in the School of Physics and Astronomy at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research interests include laser-induced plasma physics and spectroscopy, application of laser spectroscopy to deep space exploration, and nonlinear optics with ultrashort and ultra-intense lasers. He has conducted extensive research on laser cooling and trapping of atoms, atmospheric pollution detection using LIDAR, and laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) for environmental and industrial applications. His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals, including Science, Nature Photonics, and Physical Review Letters. He has also served on editorial boards and organized international conferences.
