Jie Ma is a faculty member in the School of Physics and Astronomy at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He earned his bachelor's degree in materials science and engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2003 and his PhD in physics from Iowa State University in 2010. From 2010 to 2015, he served as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Tennessee and Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Since 2015, he has been a professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, where his research focuses on condensed matter physics, particularly the use of neutron and X-ray scattering techniques to study strong correlation materials. His work explores quantum effects in materials and has been published in leading journals such as Science and Nature Materials.
