Regular biography
Haihua Tao is a Faculty member in the School of Physics and Astronomy at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Her research focuses on graphene-based photodetectors, photochemistry involving ultraviolet ozonation in graphene, and nanophotonics. She received her Ph.D. in optical physics from the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in 2007, and later worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Catalan Institute of Nanosciences and Nanotechnology. Since joining Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2009, she has developed the UV ozonation technique and explored its applications in graphene optoelectronics. Her work includes studies on graphene patterning and hybrid graphene/phosphor photodetectors.
