Guorui Chen is a faculty member in the School of Physics and Astronomy at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research focuses on condensed matter physics, particularly in two-dimensional materials and their van der Waals heterostructures. He earned his BSc from Shandong University in 2010 and his Ph.D. from Fudan University in 2016, under the supervision of Prof. Yuanbo Zhang. From 2017 to 2020, he worked as a postdoc fellow at the University of California, Berkeley and Lawrence-Berkeley National Lab. In 2020, he joined Shanghai Jiao Tong University as a tenure-track associate professor. His work explores novel electronic states in materials using advanced fabrication and measurement techniques.
