Regular biography
Fangwei Ye is a Faculty member in the School of Physics and Astronomy at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He is affiliated with the Institute of Optical Science and Technology and specializes in Nonlinear Optics and Nanophotonics. His research focuses on nonlinear effects in electromagnetic wave propagation, soliton formation, all-optical soliton control, and stability analysis in nonlinear media. He also investigates nonlinear propagation dynamics and localization characteristics of light in plasmonic systems, with applications to photonic nanodevices. Ye has authored over 40 publications in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings, including work on plasmonic lattice solitons and hybrid plasmonic waveguides. He is a Distinguished Research Fellow and PhD advisor in the Physics Department.
