Elizabeth Williams

Dr Elizabeth Williams is a Distinguished Professor at The Australian National University, affiliated with the Department of PHY. Her research focuses on nuclear reactions, including near-barrier fusion, quasifission, and superheavy elements, as well as nuclear structure, particularly collective structure and the Interacting Boson Model-1. She is a Research Fellow at the 3A Institute and an Honorary Senior Lecturer in the ANU Department of Nuclear Physics. Dr Williams completed her PhD in experimental nuclear structure at Yale University in 2009 and joined ANU in 2012. Her work explores the complexities of nuclear systems and their broader implications.
