Regular biography
Zengming SHEN is a Professor in the Department of CHEM at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research focuses on metal-catalyzed C-C and C-H bond activation, asymmetric reactions, and the study of heterocyclic compounds for applications in drug and natural product synthesis. SHEN has conducted extensive work on copper-catalyzed reactions, including C-C bond cleavage and C-H bond functionalization. He has received funding from the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Shanghai Pujiang Talent Program. His research has been published in prominent journals such as the Journal of the American Chemical Society and Advanced Synthesis and Catalysis. SHEN has also contributed to teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in organic chemistry.
