Yong CUI

Yong CUI is a Chair Professor in the Department of CHEM at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research interests include chiral porous materials (MOF, COF), chiral supramolecular assembly and materials, asymmetric catalysis, chiral recognition, detection, and sensing, as well as chiral separation (adsorption, chromatography, and membrane separation). He has led numerous national and provincial research projects, including the National Outstanding Youth Science Fund, National Natural Science Foundation projects, and the National Key Basic Research Program. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in physical chemistry and introduction to crystallization chemistry.

Yong Cui's research focuses on the synthesis and application of chiral and porous materials, particularly in the fields of metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) and covalent organic frameworks (COFs). His work explores the design, synthesis, and properties of chiral MOFs and COFs for applications in asymmetric catalysis, enantioselective separation, and chiral sensing. He has also investigated the structural and functional properties of interpenetrated MOFs for hydrogen storage and the reproducibility of surface area calculations using the BET equation. His research highlights the potential of chiral nanomaterials in advanced chemical processes and separations.
