Regular biography
Wende XIAO is a Professor in the Department of CHEM at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research interests include chemical reaction engineering and catalysis related to environment, energy, and materials. His current work focuses on clean coal technologies, syngas to liquid processes, and methanol to olefins. He has led several national and enterprise-funded research projects, including studies on flue gas de-SO2 and de-NOx, Fischer-Tropsch synthesis, and industrial-scale demonstration processes. He has published extensively in journals such as Chemical Engineering Science and Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research. He also teaches courses on reaction engineering principles and green energy in chemical engineering.
