Regular biography
Shunchao GU is an Associate Professor in the Department of CHEM at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research interests include materials chemical engineering, functional chemical materials, and pressure vessels and chemical equipment. He has developed technologies for the synthesis of monodisperse polymer microspheres, inorganic-organic composite polymer microspheres, and functional materials with optical, electrical, and magnetic properties. He has also worked on projects related to wastewater treatment, building coatings, and solar cell surface texturing. GU has held various academic and research positions, including roles at Japan's Tohoku University and JSR Corporation, and has contributed to multiple research projects funded by Japanese government agencies. He teaches courses such as 'Chemical Equipment Mechanical Foundation' and 'Chemical Engineering Frontiers.'
