Regular biography
Pengfei Zhang is a distinguished researcher in the field of materials science and catalysis, with a focus on the development of advanced porous materials, catalytic systems, and sustainable chemical processes. He has made significant contributions to the design and synthesis of functional porous materials, including mesoporous carbon, coordination polymers, and metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), which have found applications in catalysis, energy storage, and environmental remediation. His work often integrates mechanochemistry, green chemistry, and computational modeling to achieve novel materials and reactions with high efficiency and selectivity. Zhang has published extensively in top-tier scientific journals, including Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, and Journal of the American Chemical Society, and has received numerous awards for his research. He is currently affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), where he leads research initiatives in catalysis and materials science.
