Regular biography
Hongbin ZHANG is a Professor in the Department of CHEM at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research interests include rheology and physical chemistry of polymer materials, polymers for health and biomaterials, molecular characterization of polysaccharides, and functionalization of hydrocolloids and natural polymers. He has led and participated in multiple national and international research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the '13th Five-Year' National Key Research and Development Program. He also serves as a part-time academic role in several journals and organizations, and has held leadership positions in academic conferences. He teaches courses on polymer physics and polymer material engineering at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
