Regular biography
Chaohuang CHEN is an Associate Professor in the Department of CHEM at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research focuses on main-group element-based organic synthesis, with contributions to the development of novel synthetic methodologies involving boron and other main-group elements. He has published extensively in leading chemistry journals, including Angewandte Chemie, Journal of the American Chemical Society, and Chemistry: A European Journal. His work includes the synthesis of reactive boraalkenes, borenium-derived thioxoboranes, and the exploration of transition metal-catalyzed asymmetric fluorination reactions. CHEN completed his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry at the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and held a postdoctoral position at Westfaelische Wilhelms-Universitaet Muenster. He is currently affiliated with the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
