Renmin Ma

Renmin Ma is a Professor at Peking University, affiliated with the School of Physics. His research focuses on micro-nano laser physics and devices. He has made systematic original contributions in the fields of laser miniaturization mechanisms and extreme-scale light-matter interactions. His work includes proposing the singularity dispersion equation and discovering the unicorn wave function, breaking the diffraction limit in dielectric systems, and achieving reconfigurable active optical frequency phased arrays. His research has been recognized as one of the top scientific advances in China in 2024. He has received awards such as the Science Exploration Prize and the Wang Dahan Optics Award of the Chinese Optical Society.
