Regular biography
Alvin Chan Guo Wei is an Assistant Professor at the College of Computing and Data Science, Nanyang Technological University. His research interests focus on making AI technologies safe and beneficial for humanity, with an emphasis on deep learning for medical applications, adversarial learning, and generative modelling. He has contributed to premier deep learning venues such as NeurIPS, ICLR, CVPR, and ACL. Chan was a postdoctoral associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard Medicine School, where he worked on deep learning technologies for drug delivery applications. He graduated with a Computer Science Ph.D. from Nanyang Technological University in 2021, supported by the Nanyang President's Graduate Scholarship (NPGS).
