Linda Nicholson

Linda Nicholson is a professor in the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics at Cornell University. Her research focuses on the investigation of relationships between protein dynamics and function, including function in the context of the cell and/or organism. She uses NMR spectroscopy as a primary research tool to measure internal motions of individual bonds within a protein. Her studies have focused on proteins involved in disease processes, and she is currently expanding her dynamics studies into thermodynamics and kinetics to obtain a more complete picture of the energy landscape of proteins. She also serves as the Hays and James M. Clark Director of the Office of Undergraduate Biology.
