Robert E. Kraut

Dr. Robert E. Kraut is the Herbert A. Simon Professor of Human-Computer Interaction, Emeritus, in the School of Computer Science and Joint Appointment at Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University. His research interests include online communities, the everyday use of the Internet, collaboration in small work groups, technology and conversation, and computers in organizations. He has conducted empirical research on these topics and has authored several publications. Dr. Kraut holds a PhD in social psychology and previously served as a professor at the University of Pennsylvania and Cornell University, as well as a research scientist at Bell Laboratories and Bell Communications Research.
