John R. O'Brien

John R. O'Brien is an Associate Professor of Accounting and Experimental Economics, Emeritus, at Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business. His research interests include conventional and responsible banking, sports analytics, and experimental markets. He has authored and co-authored several publications in journals such as the Journal of Quantitative Analysis in Sports, the Journal of Islamic Accounting and Business Research, and the Journal of Finance. O'Brien has also contributed to the development of financial trading systems and has served in various university service roles, including committee leadership and academic actions.
