David E. Tungate is a Distinguished Service Professor of Law, Emeritus, affiliated with the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University. His research focuses on business contract law, corporate governance and liabilities, protection of corporate intellectual property, intellectual property and licensing trends in e-commerce, the implications of technology for business law, globalization and corporate litigation, liabilities of accounting professionals, and sports law. He has served as a faculty advisor to numerous students considering a legal career and has contributed to various university and public service initiatives.
