Karsten Heeger

Karsten Heeger is the Eugene Higgins Professor of Physics and Director of the Wright Laboratory at Yale University. He is a member of the Physics Department and leads research in Nuclear Physics and Particle Physics. His current projects include PROSPECT, CUPID, CUORE, Project 8, and DUNE. Heeger's research focuses on neutrino oscillations, neutrino mass, and dark matter. He received his undergraduate degree in physics from Oxford University and his Ph.D. from the University of Washington. Before joining Yale, he was on the faculty at the University of Wisconsin and a Chamberlain Fellow at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. He has served on various national and international committees and is co-chair of the APS DPF Coordinating Panel of Advanced Detectors (CPAD).
