Steven Girvin

Steven Girvin is the Sterling Professor of Physics at Yale University's Department of Physics. His research focuses on Condensed Matter Physics, with an emphasis on theoretical work. He joined the Yale faculty in 2001 and has held leadership roles, including Deputy Provost for Research from 2007 to 2017. Girvin is also the founding director of the Co-Design Center for Quantum Advantage. He co-developed 'circuit QED,' a key architecture for quantum computing.
