About
Regular biography

Marla Geha is a Professor of Astronomy and of Physics at Yale University. She is affiliated with the Department of Physics and conducts research in Astrophysics & Cosmology, with a focus on Dwarf Galaxies and Near Field Cosmology. Her current projects involve observations of ultra-faint galaxies recently discovered in the Local Group, which are the least-massive and most dark-matter dominated galaxies in the known Universe. She is an observational astronomer interested in the formation, evolution, and destruction of dwarf galaxies. Her work provides significant constraints on galaxy formation processes and cosmology.
