Helen Caines is the Horace D. Taft (B.A. 1949) Professor of Physics and Director of Graduate Studies in the Department of Physics at Yale University. Her research focuses on Nuclear Physics, with current projects including the ALICE, STAR, and ePIC experiments. These experiments investigate the behavior of nuclear matter under extreme conditions, such as those found in ultra-relativistic heavy ion collisions, to explore the properties of the Quark Gluon Plasma.
