Sean Barrett

Sean Barrett is a Professor of Physics and Applied Physics at Yale University, affiliated with the Department of Physics. His research focuses on experimental condensed matter physics, with an emphasis on using optically pumped nuclear magnetic resonance (OPNMR) to study electron-doped GaAs quantum wells under large magnetic fields. His current projects include quadratic echo line-narrowing, imaging hard and soft solids, advancing spectral reconstruction with undersampled data sets, and custom NMR/MRI probe design and construction. Barrett's work has contributed to significant publications in areas such as spin physics and skyrmion localization.
