Dr Zain Mehdi is a Distinguished Professor in the Department of PHY at The Australian National University. His research focuses on quantum optics and quantum many-body systems, with contributions to quantum computing and quantum gravity. Mehdi's work includes studies on superflow decay, mutual friction, and entangling gates in trapped ion systems. He is affiliated with the Quantum optics group and the Quantum optics and quantum many-body systems group. His research has been published in leading journals such as Physical Review Letters and Physical Review Research.
