Aviv Nevo is a Professor in the Department of Business Economics and Public Policy at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School. He holds appointments in the Department of Economics and the Department of Marketing. His research spans industrial organization, econometrics, marketing, and antitrust. Nevo has served as chief economist in the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice and has been retained as an expert by the Department of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission, and private firms in antitrust and competition cases. He is a Fellow of the Econometric Society, Research Associate for the National Bureau of Economic Research, and International Research Fellow at the Institute for Fiscal Studies in London. Nevo earned a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University in 1997 and a BSc with Special Honors in mathematics and economics from Tel Aviv University in 1991.
