Peggy Bishop Lane is a Senior Lecturer of Accounting at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, Department of Business Administration. She teaches introductory accounting courses to first-year Executive MBA students and has received numerous teaching awards, including the 'Tough, but we’ll thank you in five years' award. Her research interests focus on firms’ incentives to use accounting accruals to manage financial reports, particularly in the financial services industry. Lane earned her Ph.D. in Accounting from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Texas Christian University. She previously served as Vice Dean of the Wharton MBA Program for Executives and held leadership roles at New York University’s Stern School of Business.
