Erika H. James

Erika H. James is a Professor of Management and Private Enterprise and Professor of Management at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School. She serves as Dean of the Wharton School, having assumed the role on July 1, 2020. Trained as an organizational psychologist, she is a leading expert on crisis leadership, workplace diversity, and management strategy. Prior to her appointment at Wharton, she was the John H. Harland Dean at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School from 2014 to 2020. She has developed executive education programs and is a thought leader quoted in major media outlets. She is also a board member of several organizations and has authored books on leadership and crisis management.
