Regular biography
Dr Brendan McCormick is a Distinguished Professor in the Department of PHY at The Australian National University. His research focuses on nuclear physics and accelerator applications, with particular emphasis on nuclear structure and related experimental techniques. Dr McCormick is affiliated with the Nuclear Physics & Accelerator Applications research group and the Nuclear Structure Group. He is also associated with the X-ray Tomography and Applications Group. His work includes studies on nuclear collectivity, shape coexistence, and electric monopole transitions, as evidenced by his contributions to numerous publications in prestigious journals such as Physics Letters B and Physical Review Letters.
