Luzi Hail

Luzi Hail is a Professor of Accounting at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, affiliated with the Business School (BUS) department. His research interests include accounting harmonization, cost of capital, financial disclosure and capital markets, international accounting, and law and finance. Hail has published in leading accounting and finance journals such as The Accounting Review, the Journal of Accounting Research, the Journal of Accounting and Economics, and the Review of Financial Studies. He has also served as an associate editor for the European Accounting Review and is a senior editor at the Journal of Accounting Research. Prior to joining Wharton in 2004, he was an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the University of Zurich and worked for two major Swiss banks.
