Regular biography
Jill Fisch is a Professor of Law at the University of Pennsylvania, affiliated with the Legal Studies & Business Ethics Department. Her research focuses on the intersection of business and law, particularly the role of regulation and litigation in addressing limitations in the disciplinary power of capital markets. Fisch has authored over 50 scholarly articles published in top law reviews, including the Harvard Law Review, Yale Law Journal, and University of Pennsylvania Law Review. Her current projects include the regulation of mutual funds, an empirical analysis of securities arbitration, and a reconceptualization of private securities fraud litigation. She has also engaged with Chinese regulators and lectured on regulatory issues related to the globalization of capital markets. Fisch received the Robert A. Gorman Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2010-2011 and is a member of the American Law Institute.
