David Bard

David Bard is a Senior Fellow and Lecturer in the Finance Department at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School. He is affiliated with the Business School (BUS) and holds the title of Fellow. His research interests include private equity, investment processes, and financial modeling. Bard teaches courses such as FNCE 884 and FNCE 888, which focus on private equity investment strategies and deal processes. He has received multiple Wharton Teaching Excellence Awards, including in 2017, 2018, 2020, and 2025. In addition to his academic role, Bard is a Partner at The Halifax Group and an Advisor at The Brydon Group.
